Inclusion
By George Sterling
I have heard music and the long wave falling,
Where seas rejoice,
Wind in the trees and hidden thrushes calling:
In all, thy voice!
I have seen jonquil-cups and weary roses,
The lily's grace,
Faun-luring streams and stormy sunset-closes:
In all, thy face!
I have had joy in pledges never spoken,
In stars above,
In marble beauty by the ages broken:
In all, thy love!
